Thank you for joining me in this wool play. I'm Chantal Cardinal and I come from Montréal but have been linving in Vancouver since 2008. My background is as a Fashion Designer and Costumer in the Film Industry for over 20 years. I also studied massage during my journey of discovering the world through my hand, which is how I seem to learn. When I fell into felting in 2013 while trying to find my own creative way I thought my mind was going to explode! I could make my own fabric or material?! Wow! I feel like I found a medium that will keep me busy for the rest of my life. I now particularly connect with processing my own raw wool directly from the sheep and getting to connect with where my medium comes from. I am all about the process and trying to figure it out.

FELT à la main with LOVE is about making connections, literally and metaphorically, the labour of wool binding together and the relantionships and artifacts created along the way.
