Do you glue the pieces to wood? would you ever glue to the glass bowl etc? Any particular glue works better or just standard white glue? Does anyone have any suggestions for mounting as this is what I find to be difficult part since you never want it to fall out/apart. Thanks

If you look at some of the pieces I have posted in my social media, you can see a variations of approaches. It all depends on what you are mounting it on. I would always prefer not to use glue, but when I am selling my pieces I have to, to make sure they do not fall out.
I often use a drill bit to create the location I want to mount on the
recycled or found wood or to create a nest for it to sit in. I now have drill bits from 1/2" to 2" in diameter.
White all purpose glue works for me, but they are not all created equally. I found that one from an art supply store if better than those at the dollar store, but this is only because I sell my work and want it to last. With the heat dome we had last summer, I actually had some studies that were glued with cheap glue come apart.
If you do not want to use glue, you can always make the mounting hole a little smaller and squeeze your succulent in there with a snug fit that will allow it to hold in place.
When it comes to gluing to the bowl, I choose not to do that. I like to be able to change things around, but that's just me.
Do share what you came up with Sue, I'm sure everyone will benefit from it. I'm sure there are a lot more options out there then what I have come up with:)
