On my way out I saw this picture. Inspiration for finishing my Demo...
I had only gotten to the partial felt as I was demonstrating different layouts and helping participants with their succulent.
Took a flower image and adapted it to my succulent technique:) There are limitless options for finishing, it just might take some patience and time:)

This has been a wonderful experience. The online format allows individuals to go at their own pace while still having the chance to ask questions and posting their work for feedback.
Officially this is the last day, as we did have to put a time limit, but rest assured if you have any questions you can still post them here and I will try to get to them asap. The 'Workshop Participants' is a private forum that only you and the members that have signed up can see. You can keep using it to exchange information, but if you would like to be removed, kindly let me know.
Thank you all for making this Sculptural Wool Succulent a great success:)

Feltfully,

Do you glue the pieces to wood? would you ever glue to the glass bowl etc? Any particular glue works better or just standard white glue? Does anyone have any suggestions for mounting as this is what I find to be difficult part since you never want it to fall out/apart. Thanks

I feel like I’m fueling too much and then when I go to cut my piece is too small and the leaves become fragile pulling apart. My first try seemed to go better than my 2nd & 3rd attempts

When it come to the circular layout and the pointy leaves, I can literally say that that tip is holding on by a few fibres (not to say a thread:)). Gentle intention and attention can felt it tighter and more solidly, but you can also pull off the bits that are too fragile and carry on working your tips. I don't just full to finish, I try to rub, pull and roll between my fingers to shapes each individual pointy leaf. If this is not your cup of tea, after fulling the bunch together, just take a few minutes to individually shape and sculpt your succulent. Don't they look great all together?! Good job.

Hello everyone! It's been great to read your post and see your progress here on this forum. Please note this is the last week that I will be officially standing by.

I realized that this exchange brings me a lot of joy and because you are my first group and the numbers are still quite manageable, of course if you post something past November I will be there to cheer you on and answer your questions:)
I would like to get your feedback on what worked and what didn't work for you for this workshop and format. Please don't be shy, this will go toward improving this workshop and any future workshop. You can post here or email me directly if you prefer feltalamainwithlove@gmail.com.
Merci-Thank you for playing with me!
Chantal
I will look forward to seeing your progression! Thank you for being such a great contributor Toos. I like to name my P.Y.C.K.s and I think Toos would make a great name for a particularly special one:)

Thanks for the advice. I too prefer not to use glue. i like the idea of changing up a bowl especially if get better at making these. I have some small glass globes but I will have to make very small plants. 😬
